Indeximate Joins €4M Horizon Europe FOREST Project to Advance Ocean Energy Reliability

The FOREST Project is transforming ocean energy infrastructure through smarter, data-driven subsea monitoring led by Indeximate’s Scattersphere® technology.

We’re excited to share some our latest work with the EMEC: European Marine Energy Centre‘s latest Horizon Europe FOREST PROJECT, a €4m major collaboration advancing the reliability, resilience and cost-effectiveness of ocean energy systems across Europe.

FOREST brings together innovators from the UK, Portugal, Spain and Sweden to transform how subsea infrastructure is monitored and maintained.

FOREST brings together innovators from the UK, Portugal, Spain and Sweden to transform how subsea infrastructure is monitored and maintained.

Indeximate is leading the subsea cable health monitoring package, building on our Scattersphere® technology to give operators real-time visibility of subsea cable and component health. By moving from reactive repair to predictive intelligence, the project aims to reduce cable and connection failures by up to 75% and cut operational costs by up to 90%.

Beyond that, a core of our project involvement is in developing orthogonal data products – Wave height at every point on their cables, marine mammal detection and structural health monitoring.

Testing at EMEC’s world-class sites in Orkney – some of the harshest marine environments in the world – will ensure these innovations are ready to support the next generation of wave and tidal systems.
