Real-Time Vessel Detection Directly From Your Cables
The Indeximate system reveals potential threats even with AIS signals are missing of jammed. In good or bad weather, with only two-minute latency.
Indeximate can achieve 99% effectiveness in positively detecting vessels with low false alarms rates – and accuracy improves as more data is gathered from a monitored cable. Data from all detections are stored for a full year, creating a forensic tool for deep analysis rather than just an automated alert platform.
Turn your cable data into actionable intelligence.

Year long History of Curated Metadata
- Continuous real-time Vessel Identification
- Easily monitored in real-time
- Forensic investigation capabilities
What will the Scattersphere do for me?
What type of vessel is nearby?
Our advanced ML based acoustic detector can accurately identify a range of vessels, from lifeboats to cargo ships.
By analysing pressure signatures and spatial vessel noise, we provide detailed marine insights through curated metadata.
What’s possible:
- Vessel detection & type classification
- Vessel tracking relative to assets
- Unique Vessel Signature ID
- Cable Crossing Detection
- Unified Vessel Paths over multiple cables
Accessing Cable Intelligence
Step 1
We use the fibre already inside your existing array cables.
Step 2
Plug in passive sensors (no need to modify the cable).
Step 3
Collect terabytes of environmental, acoustic & pressure data.
Step 4
Compress & translate that into a simple, live risk view.
Accessing Vessel Detection
User interaction
Constant detection of vessels along your cable provides security benefits by knowing who is where and when. Having the ability to search through historical records also allows a determination of how often.
Rather than relying on AIS data that can be turned off, Indeximate use the pressure against a cable and noise surrounding one to detect and track vessels. Using proprietary analytics, Indeximate fingerprints vessels, enabling trend tracking and reporting.
Real time alerts
On 100km of cable, we can split the cable into 10,000 10m segments that each act as a microphone. By using these, we can pinpoint vessel crossings and impacts with extreme accuracy.
With near-real time sensing, our bespoke algorithms are able to find vessels, both surface level and below the water, with or without AIS data. With our vessel detection product, you can provide an extra layer of security to protect your cables.

Dedicated Metrics
Focus on critical regions
Our focused and precise monitoring will allow you to see overlaps in different ships paths and the most common routes. The routes at which these ships take will affect the likelihood of anchor drags, with the Scattersphere, we can tell you where these anchor drags will be most likely to occur.
We present the statistics for EACH vessel crossing separately to allow a quantitative comparison across each segment of cable – allowing at a glance understanding of trouble spots for EACH section of cable.
Focused Monitoring of vessels show risk points along the cable and provides you with insight of where repairs may be needed.
